COMPANY HISTORY

The Continental Companies is actually two Corporations,
Continental Designs, Inc. and Continental Construction, Inc. Both were founded by G. R. Stifler in 1967. Ownership is still
retained totally by G. R. Stifler.

The original facility was located at 3500 Easy Street. Our main focus then and now is industrial, commercial, business, and medical office facilities constructed using the design-build method. We have also completed apartment and condo projects on a regular basis over the years. Wings Stadium, Holiday Inn West and the Kalamazoo City Center are three of our larger projects that fall within a special category.

Our target market is owners or developers who require complete cost control while producing a quality building within a tight schedule.

Our goal when reaching this target market is simple. Every
person selected for our staff has the ability to make things
happen. Their talent, expertise and dedication allow us to
guarantee initial budgets, delivery time and quality.

We listen first and then exceed expectations with methods developed that far surpass our competition.

We are dedicated to long term relationships with customers. We view them, our employees and a large list of subcontractors as partners in a process that ensures success.

Our present office, at 8120 Moorsbridge Road, is a testimony to our creative design capabilities.
